You will be able to search for Copyrighted arrangements once you are signed in to your account and navigate to https://www.musicnotes.com/marketplace/select/ prior to starting the upload process.
If the copyrighted song you are searching for is not returning any search results, Musicnotes does not currently have derivative rights to sell a Marketplace arrangement of it, and therefore you will not be able to upload the arrangement.
You may not upload the arrangement falsely-identified as either an Original composition or a Public Domain composition.
You may be able to find official Musicnotes arrangements of the same song on our website; however, these arrangements are licensed and authorized by the publisher, where we have received the sheet music directly from them, and can sell only official Musicnotes products of the song.
The "derivative rights" are what extend and apply to Marketplace Creators, where the arrangements aren't "official versions" sent from the publisher, but created through other means.
Since licensing will vary based upon a publisher's catalog, an artist's catalog, a specific album, or even down to a single song, this is why Musicnotes will be able to show certain songs in the Marketplace Search, while omitting other songs from the search; some songs we have derivative rights for, while other songs we do not.
