Sales Report FAQs
Why is the Net Revenue price on the Sales Report different from the price I had listed for my arrangement?
The List Price is entered when uploading each arrangement, however this will not always be what the product sells for every time.
The Net Revenue price that displays on the Sales Report is the difference of the List Price less any of the following deductions, where applicable:
- Pro membership discounts,
- Coupons,
- App Store fees, if the customer purchased your arrangement from the "Shop" section of the Musicnotes Player for iOS or Android apps,
- Pro Credits redeemed,
- Please note: When you have the Sales Report filtered down to- or including the current quarter, any arrangements that were purchased by customers redeeming Pro Credit(s), these sales will display as $0.00. However, once the quarter has concluded and the sales report for that closed quarter has generated, at that time the Pro-Credit-redeemed sales will show a non-zero purchase amount.
After any of the above deductions have been deducted from the List Price, this then leaves the Final Sales Price. The Final Sales Price is then what is used to calculate the following:
- Arrangement Commission Percentage (Copyrighted, Public Domain, or Original work),
- The Marketplace transaction fee (a flat rate, instead of the variable credit card rate).
After this is calculated, the resulting sum is the Projected Earnings.
Why has my Pending Royalties decreased?
Musicnotes customers can cancel orders of digital sheet music within 90 days of purchase. If a customer cancels an order of one of your Marketplace arrangements during the current quarter, this previous sale amount will be deducted from your Pending Royalties amount.
I have had Musicnotes Customers purchase my Marketplace arrangements. Why don't I see this on my Sales Report?
The Sales Report updates nightly, so you may not see recent purchases reflected on the report until the following day.
Please note that this is based off of US Central Time, so if you are located elsewhere, this will affect when the Sales Report will update in your local time; if you do not see the recent purchases reflected on your Sales Report the following day, it may take up until 2 days after the transaction for the sale to be reflected on your report.
Filtering your Sales Report
